Earl Grey Supérieur
A British classic elevated with a touch of Mediterranean sunshine. The robust black tea beloved by British earls, enhanced by fresh citrus zest and natural bergamot fragrance. Morning has never been so elegant.
Our Earl Grey Supérieur is a reimagining of the most famous of all flavoured teas. Where traditional Earl Grey relies solely on bergamot, we've added real lemon zest and natural orange essence — creating a brighter, livelier, more contemporary version.
Tasting Profile
When brewed, the liquor develops a deep amber-red colour, brilliant and inviting. On the nose, you'll first discover the woody, malty character of black tea, quickly followed by bright, zesty citrus notes. On the palate, the attack is round and warming — the black tea provides structure and body, while lemon and orange dance across the palate with refreshing vibrancy. The finish is long, citrusy, slightly astringent, in the manner of a great English tea.
When to enjoy it?
Earl Grey is the quintessential morning tea: its caffeine accompanies you gently, and its citrus character awakens the senses. It's also perfect for English tea time (around 4pm), with a splash of milk for the "British style," or neat to appreciate the full subtlety of the citrus. It's also a tea for reading and contemplation — perfect for grey winter mornings.
Food Pairings
Sublime with warm scones and bitter orange marmalade, butter biscuits, or lemon cake. Also perfect with sourdough toast, salted butter and marmalade. For more elegant tea times: cucumber sandwiches.

Did you know? The name "Earl Grey" comes from Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey and British Prime Minister from 1830 to 1834. According to legend, the recipe was gifted to him by a Chinese mandarin in gratitude for a diplomatic favour. The recipe used bergamot oil to mask the chalky taste of the hard water from his Northumberland estate.
Très bon Earl Grey. Je recommande pour le matin.
Très bon thé noir pour le petit déjeuner.
Bon.

J'apprécie d'avoir un emballage plus grand avec un prix un peu moins cher !
