On cherche notre prochain visage à Waterloo (mi-temps)

We're Looking for Our Next Part-Time Team Member in Waterloo

Sybille, who has run the Waterloo shop since the day we opened, is writing to you.

Why we're hiring

Our Waterloo shop has grown faster than we ever expected. Our workshops are fully booked, our customers keep coming back — and now, we need a second person in the shop so we can keep delivering the experience we promise.

This is more than a sales job. It's about sharing a taste, telling a story, giving great advice — and making people want to linger just a little longer than they planned.

The role, in plain terms

  • Part-time (~20h/week) — student or otherwise
  • Teatower Waterloo — Chaussée de Bruxelles 155, Waterloo
  • Days: to be agreed together. Ideally Monday, Saturday, and one other day to suit your availability
  • Start date: as soon as possible (May 2026)
  • Contract: student contract OR permanent part-time, depending on your situation

What you'll do

  • Welcome and advise customers in the shop
  • Prepare and serve teas — matcha, herbal infusions, cold brew iced tea (we'll train you)
  • Occasionally lead our Sunday afternoon workshops (Hugues runs the Friday ones; you'll support the rest)
  • Handle stock reception, replenishment, and till operations
  • Be part of shop life: window displays, events, the little details that matter

Who we're looking for

  • You genuinely enjoy people — not just as a line on your CV
  • You're curious — we'll teach you everything about tea; but the appetite to learn needs to already be there
  • You're comfortable with Saturdays (our busiest day)
  • Bonus: some English or Dutch (Waterloo has an international clientele)
  • Bonus: experience in service, retail, or hospitality

We're not looking for a perfect CV. We're looking for the right presence.

What we offer

  • Salary: in line with CP201 scale (food retail) — student rates paid gross according to pay band
  • Perks: 30% off all our teas and accessories, full tea training (equivalent to our internal UK Tea Academy module), and invitations to supplier tasting sessions
  • Health insurance + meal vouchers + transport allowance for non-student contracts

How to apply

Apply directly on NowJobs: https://link.nowjobs.com/zIuQ8zhaT2b

Or send us an email at: info@teatower.com with:

  • Your first name, surname, and age
  • Your weekly availability
  • Why Teatower speaks to you (three lines is plenty)
  • A CV if you have one — or not, we read plain emails too

We reply to everyone within 7 days. First interviews will take place 5–9 May 2026, in the shop, over a cup of tea.
