Le bubble tea débarque chez Teatower

Bubble tea arrives at Teatower

The famous bubble tea, also called boba, is all the rage around the world and originates from Taiwan. But why is this cold tea so successful? We explain what bubble tea is and why you should buy it from our Teatower store in Liège.

What is bubble tea?

Bubble tea is an iced tea (black tea, green tea, fruity tea…) with multicolored tapioca pearls. It has existed since the 1980s, a recipe created by accident and very popular with students and then in tea rooms where it becomes a must-have. This refreshing and fun drink comes in many fruity flavors and is drunk by sucking up the pearls with an XXL straw that burst and melt on the tongue to release their taste. The pearls are gluten-free, made with tapioca flour and are appreciated for their soft and gelatinous texture. They also come in many fruity flavors.

63 possible combinations

63 combinations, you read that right! You'll find plain tea to enhance with the following 7 syrups: cherry, violet, watermelon, strawberry, raspberry, pineapple, mango.

The pearls come in 9 different fruity flavors: peach, cherry, lemon, raspberry, green apple, passion fruit, strawberry, mango and lychee.

Tea, syrup, flavored pearls, ice cubes and you're ready for a drink with friends!
