Sencha literally means "steamed tea" (sen = steam; cha = tea).
Indeed, Sencha, unlike other Chinese teas, is subjected to a steam bath for 15 to 45 seconds to stop the oxidation of the tea leaves. These leaves are then rolled and dried.
This tea has a vegetal taste with subtle notes of herbs and seaweed. An affordable green tea, with long leaves and a pleasant, smooth, and not too bitter cut.
