Silhouette

Your morning boost, minus the 2pm crash. Silhouette brings together the energy of South American maté, the freshness of Belgian mint, and a punch of lemon. A natural blend that wakes you up without shaking you up.

Silhouette is a flavoured maté with crisp, invigorating notes of peppermint, lemongrass and orange. Naturally rich in theine, it's the morning drink for anyone looking for a coffee alternative — gentler, longer-lasting, more rounded.

Tasting Profile

The liquor is a deep yellow-green. On the nose, peppermint takes the lead with confidence, followed by citrusy notes of lemongrass and orange. On the palate, maté delivers a grassy, earthy structure, balanced by a wave of minty freshness. The finish is long and invigorating, with a pleasant citrus echo that lingers.

Why Maté?

Maté (Ilex paraguariensis) is the national drink of Argentina, Uruguay and southern Brazil. It naturally contains caffeine (known as mateine), theobromine (the energising compound found in chocolate) and theophylline (also present in tea). This unique trio delivers gradual, long-lasting energy, without the coffee crash.

Perfect Pairings

Perfect alongside a savoury breakfast (avocado toast, egg), a fruit salad, or simply a glass of lemon water on the side. Best avoided in the evening — its theine content packs a punch.

Ingredients

Lemongrass, peppermint (25%), green maté (22.5%), apple pieces, orange zest, safflower, mallow flowers.

Brewing Tips

  • Temperature: 90 to 100°C
  • Steeping time: 5 to 10 min — the longer it steeps, the stronger the theine
  • Dosage: 1 heaped teaspoon (3g) per 25cl
  • Theine: High theine content — best enjoyed in the morning
  • Best time to enjoy: Morning, before 2pm

Did you know? In Argentina, maté is a shared ritual: one gourd, one bombilla (metal straw), passed from hand to hand. Turning down a maté offered to you is considered an offence. Here, we're a bit more relaxed — but we hope you won't turn down yours.
