The liquor shows a deep yellow-green. On the nose, peppermint dominates boldly, followed by citrusy notes of lemongrass and orange. On the palate, the mate provides a grassy and earthy structure, balanced by the menthol freshness that flows across the tongue. The finish is long and tonic, with a citrus echo that lingers pleasantly.

Why mate?

Mate (Ilex paraguariensis) is the national drink of Argentina, Uruguay and southern Brazil. It naturally contains caffeine (called mateine), theobromine (chocolate's energizer) and theophylline (found in tea). This unique trio provides progressive and sustained energy, without coffee's peak-crash effect.
