Étoiles filantes

9 PM. The sofa, a cozy blanket, a good book. And in your cup, a rooibos that whispers of cinnamon and winter evenings. Étoiles filantes is the tea for those who know the best moments are the simplest ones.

Étoiles filantes is a gentle spiced rooibos herbal tea — cinnamon, star anise, and jasmine blossoms. Naturally caffeine-free, it's crafted for the end of the day, when you need to unwind without a second thought.

Tasting Profile

The liquor glows a warm amber-red, almost copper. On the nose, cinnamon takes center stage with comforting warmth, followed by star anise bringing a gentle licorice roundness. On the palate, rooibos provides a velvety foundation — naturally sweet, never bitter. Jasmine flowers reveal themselves at the finish with a delicate floral touch. The finish is long, warm, enveloping.

When to Enjoy

Evening, without question. Zero caffeine = zero impact on sleep. It's also perfect in autumn and winter, when days grow shorter and your body craves warmth. For children? Absolutely — rooibos is the safest loose leaf tea for the whole family.

Food Pairings

Magical with gingerbread cookies (cinnamon meets cinnamon), dark chocolate brownies, or a warm apple tart. For savory pairings, it surprisingly complements a Moroccan tagine with dried fruits.

Ingredients

Rooibos, cinnamon pieces, whole star anise, natural flavor, jasmine flowers.

Brewing Guide

  • Temperature: 90-100 °C — nice hot water, rooibos loves the heat
  • Steeping time: 5 to 7 min — the longer, the more the spices release
  • Dosage: 1 heaped teaspoon (3 g) per 25 cl
  • Caffeine: Caffeine-free (0%)
  • Perfect moment: Evening — or anytime, really

Did You Know? Star anise is one of the oldest spices used in herbal teas — the Chinese have been drinking it for over 3,000 years. And its natural 8-pointed star shape isn't carved — it grows that way. Nature knows what it's doing.
