How to Make Iced Tea: A Refreshing Guide

It's official: sunny days are here. The weather will be beautiful, very beautiful even. And we know that the most important thing when the sun's rays beat down is to stay hy-dra-ted. So, why not combine necessity with pleasure, by taking care of yourself while indulging in a delicious and refreshing iced tea...

The catch is that we are more accustomed to drinking hot tea, and it's not always easy to know how to prepare iced tea. Here are two preparation methods, hot and cold, to help you discover homemade iced teas.

Cold Preparation

The advantage of cold preparation is that it results in less bitterness during tasting.

1. Plan for 1 infuser bag for 200 ml of water or 1 maxi infuser bag for 1 liter of water.

2. Place the tea or the infuser bag in a carafe filled with cold water. Add, if you wish, the sweetener of your choice (honey, sugar) and place everything in the refrigerator.

3. Let it infuse: 30 minutes for a green tea or mate, 1 hour for a black tea, 3 hours for an infusion or a rooibos.

4. Serve your preparation in a glass, adding several ice cubes.

Hot Preparation

The advantage of hot preparation is that it is faster to make.

1. Plan for 1 infuser bag for 200 ml of water or 1 maxi infuser bag for 1 liter of water.

2. Heat the water. Meanwhile, place the tea or infusion in a heat-resistant carafe or teapot.

3. Let it infuse according to the instructions on the back of our sachets.

4. Remove the tea and let your preparation cool, sweeten if you wish with sugar, honey…

5. Let it rest until the preparation reaches room temperature.

5. Serve your cooled preparation in a glass, adding several ice cubes.

There you have it, quite simple, isn't it? Whichever method you choose, we wish you a very pleasant tasting of your iced tea or infusion.
