Our Story: How Teatower Became Belgium's Favourite Tea House
Teatower wasn't born from a marketing strategy. It was born from a simple conviction: tea deserves to be taken as seriously as wine, speciality coffee, or fine chocolate — and Belgium, a nation of true connoisseurs, was ready for exactly that.
A tea house, not a chain
We opened our first shop with a carefully curated collection — over 40 varieties of teas and herbal infusions, spanning the world's finest origins (Darjeeling, Yunnan, Nara, Uji) alongside exclusive in-house blends. Every single one is chosen for its character, not its price point.
Today, Teatower has locations in Waterloo, Namur and Liège, with a fourth address in Rocourt opening soon. But the spirit remains unchanged: a shop where we offer you a cup before we ever try to sell you anything.
Expertise at the service of our customers
Our in-store teams are trained in tasting, terroir and food pairing. They're not sales people — they're enthusiasts who know the difference between a Dong Ding oolong and a Da Hong Pao, and who can guide you to your perfect tea in just a couple of questions.
Our NPS scores of +89 to +97 across our shops (based on 96 respondents in May 2026) were never a target we set ourselves. They're the natural outcome of a team that genuinely loves what it does.

Belgian, and proud of it
Teatower is an independent Belgian brand. Our shops are firmly rooted in their local neighbourhoods — we know our customers, often by first name, and we know that the team in Namur has a different personality to the one in Waterloo. That's a strength, not a weakness.
We take part regularly in local events (C'est Bon C'est Wallon, the Liège Fair) and our workshops are organised in partnership with Belgian artisans and local makers.
