Our commitment: natural flavourings only

At Teatower, we work exclusively with natural flavourings and real botanical ingredients — dried fruits, flowers, whole spices, zests. Our blends contain no artificial flavourings whatsoever.

What's the difference between natural and artificial flavourings?

Natural flavourings — extracted from natural plant or animal sources through distillation, extraction, or fermentation. For example, natural raspberry flavouring comes from real raspberries or from plants that naturally contain the same aromatic molecules.

Synthetic (artificial) flavourings — molecules created chemically in a laboratory, with no natural source of origin. They may be chemically identical to natural molecules ("nature-identical") but are produced entirely through chemical synthesis.

In both cases, the aromatic molecules can be chemically very similar — what differs is their origin and the way they are made.

A centuries-old tradition

Blending tea with natural flavourings is an ancient and noble craft. Chinese jasmine tea has been documented since the 12th century: green tea leaves are left overnight beside fresh jasmine blossoms to absorb their fragrance. Earl Grey (bergamot) has been enjoyed since the 19th century. Milk oolong (Jin Xuan) develops its naturally creamy notes thanks to the conditions in which it is grown at altitude.

At Teatower, we follow in this tradition: enhancing a quality tea, never masking it.

Real botanical ingredients in our blends

Many of our teas and herbal infusions contain visible, identifiable ingredients: rose petals, lavender, hibiscus, cinnamon, ginger, apple, strawberry, lemon… These ingredients contribute both to the aroma and to the beautiful appearance of each brew.
